STORYBOOK CALVALCADE PARADE

STORY BOOK CAVALCADE PARADE AND MERRY TUBA CHRISTMAS

On December 4, 2010, at 2 PM, Cedar City will kick off our Christmas Holidays with our favorite Story Book Cavalcade Parade.

The Storybook Cavalcade Christmas Parade takes place on Main Street each year and is a part of the American Children’s Christmas Festival. The parade includes floats, walking characters, large balloons, marchings bands, cars and more.

Bundle up for the cold weather. Bring your chairs and blankets.  Enjoy the parade with Disney Characters,  Bagpipes,  floats, and much much more! Mr & Mrs Santa Claus will be there too!

Following the parade at about 3:15 pm, There will be the Merry Tuba Christmas, outdoor concert. What is Merry Tuba Christmas?  TUBACHRISTMAS was conceived in 1974 as a tribute to the late artist/teacher William J. Bell, born on Christmas Day, 1902. Through the legendary William J. Bell we reflect on our heritage and honor all great artists/teachers whose legacy has given us high performance standards, well structured pedagogy, professional integrity, personal values and a camaraderie envied by all other instrumentalists. Tuba players, from all over, will gather together, to play some of your favorite Christmas Carols.

The concert is located at the Festival Hall Outdoor Stage (NW corner of the Heritage Theater parking garage). For more information on Tuba Christmas visit www.tubachristmas.com.

And don’t forget to call the Abbey Inn to reserve your room, with our wonderful amenities and great rates !!

See you at the Parade!
