October 8
Parowan Fall Fest in the Park held at 10am in the Library Park. Featuring food, vendors, entertainment, costume parade, and a wonderful day in the fall leaves. For information call 435-477-9022 or visit

New Harmony Apple Festival held from 10am to 4pm at the Fire Department Park (133 E. Center St, New Harmony). Activities include vendors, food, games for the kids, climbing wall and lots of apples for sale. FREE. For more information call Julie Woods 435-867-4231.

Children’s Story Time held from 12:30pm – 1pm at the Frontier Homestead State Park Museum (635 N. Main St. Cedar City). FREE. For information call 435-586-9290.

Annual Pumpkin Festival. Held on the Randall Jones Theater grounds (300 W. University Blvd, Cedar City) from 10am to 1pm. If you are interested in volunteering or for more information call Andrea 435-865-2940.

Cedar Livestock Heritage Festival held at the Cross Hollow Events Center (West of Cedar City on Hwy 56). Featuring a livestock parade, historic and modern sheep camps, wagons, horses, antique tractors, concerts, entertainment, a stock dog demonstration, vendors, Dutch oven cook-off and BBQ competition. Haunted Hay Ride. Held in Enoch beginning on 600 E at the maintenance building (Enoch) from 6pm – 9pm. Cost is a non-perishable food donation. For information call Enoch City Office 435-586-1119.

Tricks, Trunks & Treats. Held from 4pm to 7pm at Cedar City’s four major auto dealerships come together with various family fun activities. National Parks Free Pass Day!

September 24th, 2011 is another FREE DAY at the national parks.  Fall is fabulous time of year to visit Bryce Canyon, Cedar Breaks National Monument, and Zion National Park because the weather is beautiful, and the fall colors are just starting to appear.

September 11th Memorial

10 years ago the United States experienced on of the greates tragedies in American history.  In remembrance of these tragic events, the Sonrise Christian Fellowship Church in Cedar City will be holding a community service at 10 AM at the Main Street Park (on the corner of 200 North and Main). 

This service will include worhsip and will be followed by a message entitled “May We Never Forget.”  Members of the Southern Utah University color guard will post colors along with local firefighters, and the service will conclude with a bagpipe rendition of Amazing Grace.

Free food will be available to all who attend.  Come partake of the heartfelt messages, music, and food.
