Cedar City Livestock & Heritage Festival

Come celebrate Cedar City’s rich agricultural history at the Cedar City Livestock & Heritage Festival!

When Cedar City was settled in 1851, the people relied on their livestock as a main source of their income.  Cattle and sheep have been roaming the Southern Utah mountain ranges for over a century, and every year at this time, Cedar City livestock men and women bring their herds down from the mountain ranges to the valleys in preparation for winter.

The community will be celebrating this tradition this Friday Oct. 29th- Sunday Oct. 31st with a sheep parade down Main Street, cowboy poetry and music, BBQ and dutch oven cook-offs, quilt and antique displays, livstock demos, hands-on pioneer activities, and a concert by Grammy-nominated singer Don Edwards.  Most activities are free, and the whole family can come enjoy!
